The PAWC MISSION CONTINUES !

The Charity Committee has announced the charities to be assisted during the 2022/2023 monthly luncheons.

For more than six decades, the Palm-Aire Women’s Club has made it its mission to help improve the community by presenting scholarships and grants to local charities. The club justifiably takes pride in fulfilling this mission without allowing a pandemic to deter them. This year will not be different.

The PAWC Charity Committee ( Carolann Garafola, MaryBeth Rempp, Donna Moon and Candice Holloway) has carefully researched and visited local non-profit charities to choose organizations that best help the community.

These are the organizations the Committee has decided to support.

At the October luncheon, they are collecting items for the homeless to be distributed by Turning Point. Items should include laundry soap, clothing and personal hygiene items.

In November, toys and Christmas gifts will be collected for SPARCC (Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center).

In December, the collection will be for Hope Family Services. They have requested gifts for families and children impacted by Domestic Violence.

At the January luncheon, the Safe Children's Coalition will receive school supplies.

There will be no collection during the Fashion Show in February.

In March, the committee will collect diapers and wipes for Baby Basics while Resurrection House will receive items for the homeless in April.

Finally in May, monetary grants will be distributed to several local independent charities.
