Bishop Museum to present at March 18th luncheon at Palm Aire-Women's Club

THE BISHOP MUSEUM OF NATURE AND SCIENCE WILL INTRODUCE US TO THE MAGICAL WORLD OF NATURAL SCIENCE AT THE MARCH 18TH LUNCHEON.

The Bishop Museum of Nature and Science consists of cultural and natural history exhibits, a planetarium, and an aquarium. In its planetarium, you can lift off from earth, fly beyond our solar system, out of our galaxy to the very edge of the universe. Its aquarium houses sick and injured manatees rescued from the wild. In its dinosaur exhibit, lifelike animatronic dinosaurs roam freely to the excitement of all. Museum presenters will introduce us to their magical world.

This exciting luncheon should not be missed. Bring your friends and family. Due to cost increases beyond our control, tickets are now $30 including lunch. Checks should be sent to the PAWC, PO Box 21051, Bradenton, FL 34204 or left at the PAWC mailbox in the Palm Aire Country Club office. Payment must be received by March 14th. DILLARD’S DAZZLING DESIGNS HELPED MAKE THE PAWC "MISSION IMPOSSIBLE" FASHION SHOW TRULY SPECTACULAR.

The PAWC "MISSION IMPOSSIBLE" Fashion Show and Luncheon proved to a sensational event. Chair Michelle Crabtree worked tirelessly to ensure that all went smoothly. The room was filled with delighted fashion-conscious attendees joining together to raise funds in support of scholarships and local charities.

The event kicked off with Dillard’s Davina Truelove and Sarah Flemming describing the latest fashions worn by our glamorous models. The fashions were expertly modeled by Kathleen Allen, Melodie Dickerson, Debi Frock, Joan Greene, Lesa Hartigan, Jane Herrin, Kay Kwenski and Katherine Pike.

Guests enjoyed the opportunity of meeting new and old friends, winning fabulous prizes and receiving the complimentary gift bags from Lancôme .

While all enjoyed the event, everyone was there for two important reasons: raising money for scholarships and local charities. This is why the Fashion Show Committee put so much effort and work into making "MISSION IMPOSSIBLE" one of the most successful and glamorous events on the Sarasota calendar.

Many thanks to Dillard’s Gentry Ford, Lancôme’s Terry Dodd and Tony Lynch, make-up artist Lori Himelberger, Dave Swenson for providing the music and Tina Seger for designing the fabulous artwork. Special thanks are also owed to our sponsors A. Tifaney & Son-Kirk Weisman, The Lazy Lobster-Sarasota, Michelle Crabtree, Pike Law Firm, Right Accord-Home Health Care, Sunset Cadillac of Bradenton, Tina Seger-Graphic Arts+Design, First Choice CPA Services, Affordable Attorney, Bright Beautiful Things by Pat Hanly and to the Fashion Show Committee and Volunteers.

We would not be able to enjoy this evening and raise the necessary funds for our scholarships and charities without the incredible support and kindness of our sponsors and donors. Thanks to the following donors who helped make this event an outstanding success: Anthropologie, Artist Series Concerts, Bowtique Med Spa, Carolann Garafola, Circus Sarasota, Debbie Frock, Dillard's, Elina Otal, Janice Scanlon, Joy Pendergast, Lancome, Lucky Pelican. Luxury Nails, Morton‘s Market, Palm Aire Country Club, Palm Aire Golf Pro Shop, Paul Mattison, Pat Hanley- Bright Beautiful Things, Peg Beck, Ringling Museum, Rita Probst, Sarasota Ballet, Sarasota Concert Association, Sarasota Opera, Spa Hollywood, The Women’s Exchange, The Lazy Lobster, The Players Center for Performing Arts, Tommy Bahama, Urbanite Theatre, and Van Wezel Performing Arts .

What a wonderful event! Many thanks to all who attended this event and all those who helped ensure its success. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
