THE PALM AIRE WOMEN’S CLUB CELEBRATES ITS SIXTY-FIFTH YEAR WITH A SPECTAULAR SEASON.


Here is a sneak peak of the upcoming season.


On October 13th, Rick Piccolo, the CEO of the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport will discuss the current improvements and plans for future expansion of the airport - including the new 5-Gate terminal expansion. This new terminal will provide a variety of amenities and services for passengers. These changes will have a direct effect upon us all.


November 10, 2023 the Director of Advancement, State College of Florida Foundation, Dr. Robyn Bell will appear. Dr. Bell conducts the Symphonic Band, Bradenton Symphony Orchestra. She is also the conductor and music director of the Pops Orchestra of Bradenton and Sarasota.


Dec 3, 2023, the Annual Holly Jolly Fundraiser will be held at the home of Laurie and Linda Greene. Be sure to save the date for this fun holiday tradition. This event has always been a festive holiday gathering of members and guests.


December 15, 2023, Broadway musical actress, Ann Morrison, will perform for our holiday luncheon. Ann Morrison is best known as Mary Flynn in the Stephen Sondheim/George Furth musical Merrily We Roll Along. She won the Theatre World Award for her performance. She has performed on television, stage and in cabaret .


January 19, 2024 the Artist Series presents Lee Doughterty Ross Director of Community Engagement. Ms. Ross is a renowned pianist and has also sung at Carnegie Hall, the White House on the Broadway stage and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.


The PAWC Fashion Show "STEPPING OUT" is scheduled for February 23, 2024. The gala show will feature local celebrities and members as models. Darci Jacob will sponsor the show. Her shop, Darci, is known for its high-style fashion in a boutique environment. Darci has promised to feature all the must-have spring trends.


March 22, 2024, Wendy Deming, the COO of Selby Gardens will discuss the latest changes and future plans for the 45 acres of its bayfront sanctuaries. Selby Gardens has the world’s best scientifically documented collections of orchids and bromeliads. It is an international model for the latest green building technology.


The annual Scholarship Luncheon on April 12, 2024 will introduce this year’s scholarship recipients. Members will also elect next year’s PAWC board.


On May 10, 2024, the Charity Luncheon will be devoted to the local charities that the club supports. Members will have the opportunity to meet representatives from each of the charities and learn why the PAWC is dedicated to continuing this support. Also, a special ceremony is planned to install the 2023/2024 board.

This summer. Peg McKinley has been organizing luncheons. The last outing was at Apollonia Restaurant. All had a great time and are looking forward to the next one. Be sure to check your eblasts for future outings.

It is time for membership renewal and the PAWC is requesting dues for the coming year (2023-2024). Every dollar helps provide scholarships and grants and is 100% tax deductible.
